Course Overview: Fast-track Organisation Design Training

Course Objective:

This is a 2-day tutor-led virtual session that is split across 2x 7hour days spaced one week apart to enable easy scheduling.  This is a practical, interactive and content rich course that equips practitioners with tools and examples and enables understanding as to how organisational effectiveness can be attained, and sustained, through systemic organisational design.  By the end of this course, you will:


  • Understand the major phases of all organisation design regardless of size and complexity
  • Get equipped to scope, prioritise, plan, execute and follow-up on your own organisation design activities
  • Be capable of assessing your organisational health and adaptability and diagnosing change interventions
  • Know how to design an organisation structure from both strategic and operational perspectives

  • Understand what is meant by “organisation design” and “operating model development”
  • Identify and prioritise key elements for successful organisation change
  • Know about the end-to-end organisation design process 
  • Be able to develop design framing:  principles, parameters, constraints and design criteria
  • Differentiate between strategic organisation design, operational organisation design and day-to-day organisation design

  • Understand the key stages of reorganisation and redundancy consultation processes
  • Support the planning and delivery of organisational change in a structured and compliant way
